Buy a Home in the Biltmore

Keep tabs on our favorite new listings in Phoenix’s Biltmore neighborhood by visiting The Blog.

Phoenix’s Biltmore neighborhood is one of the city’s most popular and well-known hubs for shopping, dining, working, and living!

Centrally located around 20th Street and Camelback Rd., you’ll find Biltmore Fashion Park, an upscale, outdoor mall anchored by Saks Fifth Avenue, Town & Country Shopping Center, featuring Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Pizzeria Bianco, and just about every other retailer you can think of.

There is a bit of a foodie community here as well, with stalwarts like Capital Grille, Tarbell’s, and Hillstone alongside trendy newcomers including The Gladly, The Macintosh, and The Parlor.

Prized for its convenience and proximity to a wealth of corporate headquarters, the Biltmore area is named for its neighbor, The Arizona Biltmore, long a luxury desert resort famed for its Frank Lloyd Wright-influenced architecture. The neighborhood surrounding the hotel grew as its guests became enchanted with the desert and was largely as we know it today—lush and green and ringed by golf courses.

Homes at the Northern edge of the Biltmore can be quite grand and of varying styles, sitting on gated, large lots that once featured citrus groves, while those closer to Indian School Road tend to be more modest ranches, averaging about 1200 sq. ft.

High-rise, full-service condos such as the Optima Biltmore and Esplanade Place offer executive-style living and are particularly popular with transplanted East Coasters who enjoy the feel of semi-city living in the desert.

The Biltmore neighborhood has a reputation for being clean and safe and is a great spot to get your feet wet if you are new to Phoenix. Just west of Arcadia, it is truly the center of everything and you won’t have to drive far to work or to accomplish your daily errands.

Biltmore also offers easy access to Camelback Mountain and Piestewa Peak, two must-hikes for the fit and fearless!

Be aware, however, that many use the term “Biltmore” to convey an air of luxury and tend to stretch the boundaries of this exclusive neighborhood a little further than they should…especially south of Indian School.

We’ve lived, worked, dined, and shopped most everywhere in the Biltmore neighborhood and look forward to serving as your expert guide.
